Film posters 1st draft

Image
Poster 1 Inspired by the Kickabout film poster. I liked the way how the editor used a high angle shot to signify the significance of the sports environment. I wanted to re-create this by using similar conventions but instead of using trees to convey the idea of isolation, I used the darkness to show this environment where the protagonist can show his true potential.  Poster 2 Inspired by the Gridiron Gang film poster. The close-up on the ball was an aspect i was trying to re-create as the main theme of the trailer is all about choices and what one is best for his future. The positioning of the hand will be used to show the audience binary opposition with the protagonists thoughts and feeling.  Poster 3  Half and half. Left side looking at he a football pitch while wearing football training kit and right side wearing a tracksuit starring at a council estate.  Poster 4 Over the shoulder shot of protagonist look through the astro tur...

Coursework: Film poster research and pre-production

Each poster should be different and target a specific segment of the target audience.  Specifically: Fans of the genre Females Males The posters will be used to promote screenings of the film at a  local film festival  and the layout and design of each poster should be appropriate for its intended location. Each poster should use a different image but the advertising campaign should appear coherent. Audiences should recognise each poster as being part of the same campaign. Minimum requirements Appropriate layout and design choices for each poster Three different posters, each identifying a specific segment of the target audience A common ...

Statement of Intent final draft

Truth Be Told For my film production trailer, I plan on using a low-budget means of filming and distribution to promote my 90 second coming of age drama that I have called 'Truth be Told' which is meant to be able to be broadcast before the 9am watershed. This means I will have to ensure no sexual content, violence, graphic or distressing imagery and swearing are shown within the trailer. The reason behind the title is to shed light on the fact that not all stereotypes are negative (Perkins). This idea helped me form the slogan 'A day in the life of a young black male in West London trying to break away from the negative stereotypes'.  With the coming of age dramas I was inspired by I noticed they use cuts, speech from characters (diegetic) and fast/slow paced non-diegetic soundtracks to heighten or lower then intensity for the audience. I aim to ensure that the driving force behind my trailer is centred on the actors’ voices - due to the production being aimed at yo...
